Weather: The weather of Leh is like a cold desert with long winters from the month of October to March. The temperature in winters remain below freezing point. And in rest of the months, the weather remains fine and pleasant.

Transport: The national highway NH-1D from Srinagar via Kargil is generally opened for a long period to reach Leh. The Leh-Manali Highway is another roadway for Leh. This road may be troublesome due to high passes. There is no railway network connected to Leh. There is an airport to reach Leh called as Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, has daily flights to Delhi and weekly flight to Srinagar.
